for New Zealand. The gathering, which was open to the public and well attended, was organised by the One-hunga-Mannkau Chamber of Commerce, the president, Mr. F. C. Matthews, presiding. Ln an interesting address. Mr. Croft referred to a steadily growing demand in Canada for further information regarding New Zealand, its people and its products, indicating a general desire on the part of Canadians for a closer relationship of the two dominions both commercially and socially.
The goodwill between the two countries was also mentioned by Mr. J. _D. Twentyman, who recalled the high opinions formed by New Zealanders of the Canadian troops in the Great War.
