COMMEECE DELEGATES MANY HOTEL RESERVATIONS CONGRESS IN WELLINGTON With 180 hotel reservations already made, Auckland will have an influx of visitors from Great Britain when the Aorangi arrives from Vancouver on September 27. For the first time in the history of the Associated Chambers of Commerce of New Zealand the congress of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce of the British Empire will be held in the Dominion, opening in the Wellington Town Hall concert chamber on October 2. The majority of the oversea delegates will come first to Auckland and many of them intend to visit places of interest in the North Island before the congress opens. The president of the congress will be the Governor-General, Viscount Gal way, who will receive delegates at Government House, Wellington, in the evening of October 1. A State luncheon is to be given delegates and their wives on the following day. Sir Thomas Wilford is to be chairman of the congress, and among the honorary delegates will be the Prime Minister, Mr. Savage; the Minister of Finance, the Hon. W. Nash; the Minister of Railways, the Hon. D. G. Sullivan; and the Minister of Agriculture, the Hon. W. Lee Martin. Auckland Representatives

The Auckland Chamber of Commerce, which on its membership is entitled to four delegates, will be represented by the president, Mr. A. A. Ross, the vicepresident, Mr. W. R. Fee, Mr. A. G. Lunn, a past president and life member, and the secretary, Dr. E. P. Neale. Mr. A. M. Seaman, a past president of the Associated Chambers of Commerce, will also attend the congress, while several members of the Auckland chamber will observe proceedings. The delegates from overseas will include representatives of some of the biggest individual chambers of commerce in the world, nearly all the English cities being represented. In addition, there will be parties from other Dominions. With the delegates' wives and friends, more than 200 people will assemble in- Wellington. Inspecting Tourist Resorts

Both before and after the congress, tours will be made by the delegates to tourist resorts throughout the country, Rotorua, Waitomo, the National Park, the Franz Josef Glacier, the Hermitage, the Eglington Valley, Queenstown, and lakes Manapouri and Te Anau, as well as the most important cities, having been included in the itineraries arranged. The congress itself will be held on October 2, 5, 6 and 7. When it and the tours are over, the party will return to Auckland, being due to arrive on October 27, and to stay here until October 30.
