EUROPEAN STATES RUMANIA JOINS CABINET RECONSTRUCTED M. TITULESCU DROPPED By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Received August 31, 5.45 p.m.) BUCHAREST, August 30 The Rumanian Cabinet, which resigned yesterday, has been reconstructed. M. Tatarescu is again Prime Minister. All the former Ministers have been included, except M. Titulescu, the veteran Foreign Minister. The Tatarescu Government aims at the speedy rearmament of Rumania at a cost of £7,000,000, and contemplates a rapprochement with Germany and Poland.
The reconstruction of the Cabinet places Rumania among the Fascist States and creates a bloc of authoritarian States from the Baltic to the Black Sea, thus increasing the isolation of Czechoslovakia. It is regarded in Berlin as a triumph for Herr Hitler's ideas and probably as a stopgap for a Government of the Right. M. Titulescu was dropped without being officially informed. While he was on a holiday a friend rang him up from Bucharest and told him. M. Titulescu replied: "Don't talk nonsense."
