VICTORIAN POLICE
REORGANISATION PLANS SCOTLAND YARD OFFICIAL MELBOURNE, August 15 The Chief Secretary, Mr. H. Bailey, announced to-day that Chief Inspector Alik Duncan, of Scotland Yard, had been appointed to report on the reorganisation of the Victorian police system. inspector Duncan has been lent to Victoria for six months and will arrive in October. He will not necessarily be appointed Chief Commissioner of Police, but there is a strong possibility that ho will obtain that position to enable his recommendations to be carried out.
