CLAY-BIRD SHOOTING
METROPOLITAN GUN CLUB A large attendance was present at the fortniprhtly skeet shoot of the Metropolitan Gun Club held on Saturday afternoon at the club s grounds at Mangere. A handicap round of skeet was fired in competition for a trophy presented by the club. R. H. Mackay, 12 breaks, 13 handicap, proving the winner with the possible of 25. R. H. Bartley, 33 and 11, and A. V. Wells, 11 and 13, tied for second place with 2-1 each. The next highest scores were returned by S. T. Tisdall (Wellington) and R. Baxter, 13. and 12, 23 points. A half-round of 17 singles was divided by F. H. Seccombe and R. 1). Wright, 13 each, R. 11. Mackay being next with 12. MEETING AT HAMILTON [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Sunday A clay-bird shooting contest was conducted by tho Hamilton Gun Club at Ruaknra yosterdav. The principal trophy event was won bv J.* Malcolm, of Iluntly, who won the shooto'tT after tieing with W.. J. McMiken, of Hamilton. --
