DUNEDIN CITY LOAN
AMOUNT OF £25,000 TAKEN UP BY SAVINGS BANK [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION*] DUNEDIN, Friday The Dunedin City Council's renewal loan of £25.000 was immediately taken up by the Dunedin Savings Bank at a rate of 3J per cent This in a loan which will be redeemed by half-yearly payments spread over a period of 20 years. Mr. Silverstone, chairman of the Finance Committee of the City Council, said that the promptness with which this renewal loan was taken up was a clear indication of the confidence of financial institutions in the stability of the city and of its value as a medium for the investment of money.
