WANTED STAMP INFORMATION

Would some authority on stamps assist a boy reader by answering the following questions? May I please ask for some information about niv stamps? I do not think it is interesting unless I know whom the portraits represent and what tho inscriptions mean. ] have some I should like to know about. (1) Italy, an air stamp, 1932. A head ag'ainst a sort of bat's wirig. Value, 100 lire. Would you please translate the inscription, Latin I think, and tell me who it is? (2) Italy. I have a seit of nine stamps, called a Virgil set, 1930. Could you please tell me what the pictures represent and what the quotations mean? (3) U.S.A. A red stamp, 2 cents, 17771927. Bennington at one side, figure of a Green Mountain Boy. Who was he? (4) U.S.A.. Purple, 3 cents, 1635-1935. Connecticut Tercentenary. Picture of tree— Tho Charter Oak. What is it, please?
