MOONEE VALLEY RACES TE HUON RUNS SECOND (Received August 5, 8.55 p.m.) MELBOURNE, August 5 At tho Moonee Valley races to-day Te Huon was second in tho Epping Handicap and Cape Lilock was unplaced in tho Whittlesea Trial Hurdles.

NEW ZEALAND HORSES ARRIVAL IN SYDNEY SYDNEY, August 4 Eleven New Zealand racehorses arrived bj- the Wanganella, all in sound condition, after a fine trip. There were no accidents on the voyago. The visitors include Silver Ring, Silver Streak, Custos, Kinnoul and Sporting Blood. The Derby colt Custoss was regarded as the most interesting arrival. Accommodation for F. D. Jones' team, which also includes Kow Tow, Cerne Abbas and Cyrillian, has been secured at Randwick, and the team will be trained at headquarters. Sporting Blood went into P. Riddle's stable at Kensington. Silver Ring and Silver Streak will be in the same neighbourhood. E. J. Ellis, with four horses, including Kinnoull, took quarters at Cabramatta, in the vicinity of tho Warwick Farm course, where the horses will be trained.

Wragg, 23; T. Weston, 22; and T. Lowrev, 21. On tho same date last season Richards had ridden 85 winners, and as ho finished up with a total of 210, it seems likely that, barring accidents, he will pass the 200-mark again this year.

Mr. Carley, who took his place, was formerly a member.

TRIALS AT EPSOM KEWPIE'S CREST GOES FREELY BY ABAYJIOS A few horses who did not work on Tuesday were sent along at Epsom yesterday, when the dirt and sand tracks were in good order. Kewpiu's Crest (W. Gee) ran a mile and a-half in 3.41, the last half in 1.10. Kewpic's Crest is in good order for serious work. Tumble (W. Olive) after working a mile and a-quarter comfortably at a 2..'35 rate, was sent a mile in 2.25. Ho ran the first half in 1.11 and was not under pressure for the next section. Manna's Son (M. Groat) was not hurried while traversing two miles, the last six furlongs being run at a 2.80 gait. Dick Radmorid (A. Brown), trotted freely over threo laps on the sand. Silver Watch (L. J. Mahoney) and the sister to Kuini (J. Mahoney) were allotted steady work. The former has just come in from a long spell and will not be hurried. The relative to Kuini is a neat young trotter. E. N. Kennerley had Princess Onyx at light exercise and the handsome mare looks none the worse for her steamer trip from Australia. Kennerley has taken stables in The Drive, Epsom, and intends remaining for somo time.
