ADELAIDE CHANGES HANDS The well-known motor vaclit Adelaide owned bv Mr. C. H. T. Palmer, has been purchased by Mr. W. G. Gibbs, of Nelson. Built in 1924 liv Messrs. Callings and Bell. Adelaide is 40ft. overall, with a beam of 10ft. and a draught of 3ft. She is equipped with a 40 h.p. Doman engine and is a very comfortable cruiser. Tho boat will be shipped to her destination this week and will he a \ aluable addition to the pleasur© fleet at Nelson. In the coming season it is the intention of Mr. Palmer to cruiso with his son, Mr. C. G. Palmer, in the latter's new 29ft. keel yacht! now being built by Messrs. Collings and Bell. " The Ponsonby Cruising Club will hold its annual dance and distribution of prizes in the Peter Pan cabaret tomorrow evening. Tho prize list is a lengthy one, the most important trophies including the Lipton Cup. won by Valeria, representing tho Naval Sailing Club, the Hewson Memorial Cup, the Winter Cup and the Rahiri Cup.
J lie A class keol yacht Ariki is to be equipped with a new suit of sails for the coming season. Her mast is to have another 2ft. 6in. added to it below the deck and the boat is also being rofastened. She is hauled up on Messrs. Lidgarcrs slipway.
