CONVERTED MOTOR-CYCLE
TWO YEARS' PROBATION "I supposo this will be a lesson to you to leave liquor alone," said Mr. Wyvern Wilson, S.M., to Albert Charles Joass, fish cleaner, aged 20, who appeared for sentence in the Police Court yesterday on a charge of converting a motor-cycle valued at JL'SO, tho property of Skeates and White, Limited. Mr. G. Skelton, who appeared for accused, said the fact that he could not start the machine showed that tho act was done under the influence of liquor rather than with criminal intent. Accused was admitted to two years' probation, on condition that he abstained from liquor during that period.
