FREE PASSES
Sir, —I would like to e'ndors« "Worker's" remarks re eliminating free passes. This could also be extended to the railway employees. Xot altogether to eliminate free passes, but to limit the number. As it is now our railways are full of employees' wives gadding about on the railways at quarter fare. Surely if a woman is doing her job properly at home she cannot spare the time to go on two or three shopping expeditions a week as a lot of them are doing now. My wife has had to stand on several occasions while those privileges have taken the best seats. This question requires looking into, not only from the passenger point of view, but from the freight point of view. Transport.
