FLYING DOCTORS

SCHEME IN QUEENSLAND PURCHASE OF AEROPLANES Two aeroplanes are to bo bought by the Government of Queensland for medical and ambulance work, and a staff of doctors will bo attached to a base hospital at Cloncurr.v under a plan for the north-west, which the Minister of Health, Mr. E. M. Hanlon, described as the biggest that has yet been attempted in Queensland. The scheme will be put'into operation as soon as possible. Under the plan there will bo at least 11 subsidiary hospitals, and the doctors from the base will ho able to visit all the principal centres in the area on two days a week. In case of emergency a doctor will bo available to fly to any part at short notice.
