Business in coal shares also improved, Hcnowns moving up 3d to lis 9d. Taupiri, preference, sold 9d higher at 22s'9d. In banks New Zealands recovered slightly, rising -Id in dealing at 40s 4d. National insurances again eased, but South British wero unchanged.
