MATCH AGAINST ENGLAND
GROUND CHARGE REDUCED A letter from the Auckland Itugby Leaguo dealing with the ground charge of two shillings and sixpence for admission to tho Auckland v. England fixture was discussed at last evening's meeting of the Now Zealand Rugby Leaguo Council. Tho Auckland Leaguo asked that the chargo bo reduced to two shillings. Tho president, Mr. C. A. Sneddon, said that it was a reasonable request as some difference should be made between the Auckland gamo and the test matches. The request was agreed to. Matters in connection with arrangements for the Auckland-England fixture at Carlaw Park were discussed at somo length. It was decided to seek tho co-operation of the Auckland League in all details. It was decided to play a match between the City and Richmond fourth grade teams as a curtain-raiser to the England v. Auckland match. Mr. E. Stallworthy was appointed to tour New Zealand with the English team as the representative of the council. It was decided to advise tho Canterbury Rugby League that there would bo no replacements in the South Island v. England match at Christchurch on August 1.
