NEW ZEALAND COMPOSERS
A programme of works bj 7 New Zealand composers was presented at a gathering of the Society of Musicians held last night in the Overseas League rooms. Mr. E. Varley Hudson presided over a large attendance of members and friends. The composers whoso works were presented were: Lois Walls. Margaret Dixon, 11. Eleanor Rowlandson, John Tait, Owen Jensen, Herbert Hulett, Gordon Mcßeth, and Bevan. The pieces were interpreted L'.V Lois Walls, Winifred Hayes, Amy Stevenson, Lalla Hemus, Nancye Hanna, Mrs. Harold T. King, Dawn Harding, Margaret Dixon, Winifred Hayes, Mrs. Salisbury Sykes, J)ora Judson, Eleanor Rowlandson, Peeg.Y Sexton, Joyce Billing, Paul Holmes, Sam Duncan and Owen Jensen. The accompanists were: Mrs. W. H. McKinney, Miss Kathleen O'Leary, Netta Simich, Mrs. Hulett, Mr. Temple Bevan, Mr. John Tait.
