SLAUGHTERING METHODS
Sir, —1 was moved to indignation at the state of affairs of our killing methods. I would be willing enough to forgo animal food until a more immune way of killing is obtained in New Zealand, just as I refrained from eating trapped rabbits after hearing the agonised screams of one caught in a trap. Surely a petition for the use of the painless killer would be signed by every right-thinking person who realises the dreadful and needless paiir our dumb creatures suffer, for our benefit. Pity The Helpless.
