JHE AUCKLAND EXCHANGE „ DROP IN G. J. COLES On a report of tho final distribution, Tvhich is below market expectations, G. J. Coles dropped sharply 011 the Auckland Stock Ex'ehango yestcrrlav. Two sales were put through at gls ;kl. a decline of Is 6d, while offers a t the close wore lower at 80s, with sellers Cd dearer. Most of the business was again done in industrials. Broken Hills moved up Id to 7''is 10d and Dunlop-Perdriaus continued to rise, changing hands Id j n advance at 18s lOd. Hume Pipe (Australia) and Morts Dock both showed increases 011 previous transfers. Jx-vels for Electrolytic Zincs, preference, were reduced, business passing 7d lower at 42s ud. A feature of the classified section uiis the recovery in Huddart-Parkers, which were dealt in 2s 3d dearer at ;)7 S Gd. Auckland Gas were weaker, declining 2d 011 sale at 23s 7d. Kauri Timbers were transferred at current prices. The inquiry for banks was dull and levels were steady. 'Both New Zealanrls and Commercials of Australia sold unchanged. There were again no sellers' quotations of Government loans and in the only transfer the 1940 4 per cent bonds were sold 5s dearer at £lO2 17s (3d.
