YOUTH CAMPAIGN
AUCKLAND CHURCHES UNITED MEETINGS TO BE HELD Preparations are now well in hand for the " Christ for Youth " campaign, which will bo held by nearly all the denominations in Auckland next month. The campaign will start on August 10 and will last for two weeks. In the first week special services mainly for young people will be hold in many of the churches, and during tho second week churches of different denominations in the various districts will unite in holding meetings at a central place. Tho campaign will be concluded with a united procession of witness and a rally in the Town Hall and concert chamber on Sunday, August JO, when tho speakei will be Archbishop Averill. In connection with the campaign in tho Anglican churches, tho Bishop ol Nelson, tho Right Kev. A. W. Milliard, will visit Auckland, and will conduct a mission at St. Matthew's Church from August 16 to August 21. Archbishop Averill will conduct the mission on the afternoon of Sunday, August 23. The campaign in the Presbyterian churches will begin on Sunday, August 16, when two special addresses of particular application to youth will h<> given in every church. There will b«> three meetings at each church during tho week, and two special young people's services on Sunday, August 23 During tho second week, tho churches in every district will unite with those of other denominations. Similar arrangements have been made for tho Baptist and Methodist churches to carry out approximately tho same programme, except where local conditions do not permit of united meetings being held. The Salvation Army, the Young Men's Christian Association, the Student Christian Movement, and tho Evangelical Union, will all be actively associated with the campaign during the fortnight.
