PAKURANGA HUNT
SEVERAL GOOD RUNS GOVERNOR-GENERAL ATTENDS Several growl runs were enjoyed by mem bers of the Pakuranga Hunt Club on Saturday, when the meet was at the Pakuranga Hall. There was a fair attendance and scent was pood on the sunny sides of the slopes, although not so keen in the more sheltered spots, on account of the heavy frost in the morning. Hounds throw off on Mr. T. Churches' property and worked through to Mr. F. Roberts land, where a haro was put up. It took the hunt for a good run across Mr. R. Whites farm, and then doubled back into Mr. F. Roberts' property, across Mr. Churches' and out on the main road toward Howick. The hunt was then taken across into Mr. J Roberts' estate, over the road near Pigeon Mountain, . into Mr. M. T. Gilman's, back across the road near the tennis courts and on to Mr. J. Roberts' land, where a kill was made. Tho hunt moved off back toward Mr. F. Roborts' farm, where another good hare was put- up. It took the hunt across Mr. J. Gill's property, over the farms of Messrs. R. Thompson. B. V, Rope, G. Thompson and L. Hunt, and then crossed the road and ran through Messrs. Jenkins' and N. Millen's properties, before turning down toward the Tamaki River, where it was lost. Two other good runs were enjoyed o\er approximately the same land. The hunt followers included the OovemorGenoral Viscount Gahvay, who was nioimted on Spring, and Their Excellencies' three daughters, the Hon. Mary Monckton, on Peggy; the Hon. Isabel, on Beauty; end tho Hon. Celia, on Bobby. Sir Standish O'Grady Roche, A.D.C., rode Safe Conveyance. Other followers were:—The master, Mr. 11.
