TAURANGA VALUATIONS
ASSESSMENT COURT CASES [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] TAURANGA. Saturday The Assessment Court resumed its sitting at Tauranga this morning, Mr. J. G. L. Hewitt, S.M.. presiding. Decisions were given in respect of a number of objections against the Government valuations. A few decisions were given also in regard to applications lodged by the Borough Council for the raising of the unimproved values in over 200 cases, but decision was reserved in the majority of these cases in order to enable the Government valuer and the Borough Council valuer to reconsider them. The Court adjourned until August 11. Mr. Hewitt left this afternoon for Coromandel where a sitting of the Assessment Court will be held on Monday. Mr. Hewitt will then proceed to Auckland.
