WARSHIP'S MOVEMENTS

NO OFFICIAL ADVICE APPOINTMENT OF OFFICERS Official advice as to when H.M.S. Achilles is leaving the Mediterranean for the New Zealand station, and the date of her arrival in Auckland, has not yet been received at the Devon port naval base. A mail from New Zealand for tho Achilles was sent by the Mataroa, which sailed from Auckland for London on Saturday night. If it is learned, however, before the Mataroa reaches Balboa, that the Achilles has commenced tho voyage to Now Zealand, the mail will bo left with tho British Consul at Balboa, to be picked up by tho warship. Tho appointment of tho following officers to H.M.S. Achilles is announced in tho Gazette, the appointments in each instance being as from March ;51 this year: —Captain J. F. M. Moulton, Commander (F) F. A. Drummond, Surgeon-Commander T. G wynne- J ones. Lieutenant (F) H. A. Martin, Lieutenant (F) M. N. de C. Brown, Lieutenant (10) H. J. S. Banks, Surgeon-Lieuten-ant (D) A. C. Home, Mr. A. J. Harvey, warrant engineer.
