SELWYN AND THE MAORIS
Sir, —Mr. Wily's letter in Wednesday's Hkrat.d reveals the fact that much of our early history has been obscured by a growth of legend. Credit is sometimes given where credit is not due, and some who should be honoured by at least a brief mention are ignored and relegated to oblivion. Fortunately, there are a few like Mr. Wily who are in possession of the real facts. H.M.
