EMPLOYMENT GROWING STATISTICS FOR JUNE HIGHEST TOTAL FOR SIX YEARS (Received July 7, 0.5 p.m.) British Wireless RUIJRY. July 0 The return issued by the Ministry of Labour for June shows that the number of unemployed persons on the registers at June 22 was 1,702,676, and the number of insured persons in employment, exclusive of agricultural workers, approximately 10,832,000. This is the highest employment total for six years and is 1000 more than a month before and 441,000 more than a year ago. Statistics are not available yet for an estimate of the numbers of agricultural workers in* employment. The total of tho unemployed on June 22 was 2366 less than a month earlier and 297,434 less than tho year before.
