PRICES FOR TIMBER
NORTH ISLAND VALUES [BY TELEGRAPH —I'IIKSS ASSOCIATION] WELLINOTON, Tuesday The investigation of timber prices, it is stated, is not yet completed, but it is reported that a satisfactory arrangement has been made in respect of the North Island timber supplies, which are to be marketed in future at prices based substantially on lists in operation in 1929, when conditions in the industry were normal. Milling conditions in the South Island, it is stated, appear to be more complicated, and a final arrangement has not yet beon effected.
