NOVEL STRIKE
SWISS MOTORISTS HIGH PRICE OF PETROL GENEVA, July 5 As a protest against the liipcli price of petrol, due to the import duty, motoring clubs throughout Switzerland organised a "one-day strike" and urged motorists not to use their.cars. Pickets were posted, and motorists were warned that if they defied* the movement they might bo expelled from the clubs. Doctors were exempt hut had to exhibit'protest placards. Service stations were closed.
The strike resulted in thoroughfares throughout the country being empty of vehicles except those driven in cases of emergency, on the windows of which were placards stating: "1 must circulate but 1 protest too."
