MARAMARUA HUNT

GOOD SPORT ENJOYED •i» An excellent afternoon's sport was enjoyed by followers of tho Maramarua lfunt Club on Saturday aftornoon when a meet was held at Monument Corner, near Maramarua. Somo fine runs took place during the afternoon and two kills were made. • Hounds threw off on Mr. G. P. Mclnnes' property, where a strong hare was put up. Crossing tho main road into Mr. K. MeCardle's property, it doubled back through Mr. Mclnnes' farm into Mr. A. K. Jones' property, and aftor an excellent run which took the hounds back through Mr. McCanlle's land a kill was made on Mr. Mclnnes' farm. A second hare was put up on Mr. Mclnnes' farm later in the afternoon and after a short run a kill was made on tho plantation. Afternoon tea wns provided in tho Maramarua Hall by the honorary treasurer, Mrs. W. Marshall, and the secretary, Mrs. S. Symes. Among the followers wero:—Tho master, Mr. J. D. Pagan, on Llewellyn; the deputymaster, Mr. Fisher, on Twinkle; the huntsman, Mr. S. Symes, on Larry; tho whip, Mr. Steen, on Tunny; Mr. W. Lawson. on John Peel; Mr. P. Downie, on Sandy; Mr. (1. P. Mclnnes, on Peter; Mr. Parker, on Mick: Mr. Drake, on Lightning; Mr. L. Fisher, on Brittain; Mr. J. Miller, on Tui; Mr. E. Iturdus, on Sentinel; Mr. B. Lawson, on Itinger; Mr. W. Baxter, on Toby; Mrs. F. Downie, on Itajah; Miss G. Maxwell, on Golden Vanity; Miss D. Parker, on Lady Shane; Miss C. Fisher, on Glamia; Miss W. Lawson, on Hollo.
