BURGLARY CHARGE
WEEK'S REMAND GRANTED [by telecraph—owx correspondent] WHANGAREI, Monday As a sequel to an arrest made early on Sunday morning, Ivor Alexander Peacock appeared this morning in the Police Court before Mr. G. N. Morris, S.M., charged with breaking and entering by night the premises of Wallace Supplies, Limited, and stealing various articles and 8s 2d in cash.
Sergeant Culloty applied for a remand for a week. He said tho police wished to make further inquiries. Mr. Trimmer, for accused, applied for bail. Ho said accused was a member of a well-known Portland family, and an employee of the Railway Department at Frankton. Bail was granted.
