AUCKLAND HARPIST
MISS WINNIFRED CARTER VISITOR FROM AMERICA On a short visit to her parents, Miss Winnifred Carter, formerly of Auckland, who has become one of the leading harpists in America, returned by the Niagara from Vancouver yesterday. Miss Carter, who is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F Carter, of 4ft View l?oad, Mount Eden, and visited Auckland two years ago, is first harpist m the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. She played the harp as a member of the Auckland Orchestral Society and has had a highly successful career since she left the Dominion some 20 years ago.
