PIRATE SHIP
A large gathering attended the Pirate Ship 011 Saturday night, when a poster carnival was held, and many original costumes wero worn. The stage was arranged to represent a large signboard covered with posters. These wero treated in a humorous manner, the well-known slogans of many household commodities being cleverly transposed. Burlesque posters also adorned the walls and cubicles. The competition for the costumes was very keen and resulted as follows: —Best posters. Miss S. Kitchenman and Mr. F. Claxton; most humorous. Miss A. Fecht and Mr. Kitchenman. Consolation prizes wero awarded to Mrs. Matthews and Mr. F. Bowman.
