RUSSELL DEFEATS ZAHARIAS [I)Y TET/ECRAPII —OWN CORRESPONDENT] TATJMARIJNUI, Sunday Cowboy Kussell, 1. r >st, was extended on Saturday night at Tauinarunui, to defeat the Greek, Chris Zaharias, lost 21b, the bout going the full eight rounds. It was the most exciting maich so far seen in Tauinarunui. Zaharias was awarded a penalty fall on a foul in the sixth round and Russell evened the score in the seventh round with a dump followed by a body press. In the eighth round Russell again dumped his opponent heavily and secured the winning fall with another body press.
