ILLUSTRATED LECTURE
A lecture on the scenic beauties of the Luke district in Kngland, North Wales and tho Southern Alps was given by Mr. A. C. Browno in tho Strand Theatre last night. The lecture, which was illustrated with hand-painted lantern slides, showed tho modes of life in Wales in the Roman period and earlier. In tho New Zealand portion of his lecture Mr. Browne traced a journey from tho Hermitage, Mount Cook, over tho Alps to tho JVest Coast,
