CITRUS FRUIT OIL

PLAN FOR DISTILLATION [by telegraph OWN correspondent} TAURANGA, Saturday The distillation of oil from citrus fruits grown in New Zealand was discussed in a letter, received by the Tauranga Chamber of Commerce from the director of the horticulture division of the Department of Agriculture, Mr. J: A. Campbell. "It is very desirable that the Dominion should develop such an industry, ii it can be done economically, as ifc would provide a means of disposing o;f fruit for which there is no other demand," Mr. Campbell said. " The department is making inquiries into the whole question of the cost of producing citrus oils and tho marketing of the product."
