UNION OF CLERKS
REGISTRATION EFFECTED SALARY LIMIT OF £350 Registration of a clerical workers' union is stated to have been accepted for the whole of the northern industrial district. The title of the new union is the Auckland Clerical and Office Staff Employees' Industrial Union of Workers.
Membership is restricted to bona fide clerks employed up to a salary of £350, and the membership is now about 150. A branch has been established at Hamilton with a membership of between 50 and 60, and branches will be formed in other centres as the membership extends.
