MINISTERS' MOVEMENTS
The Hon. R. Semple, Minister of Public Works, arrived, in Auckland on Saturday by the limited express and throughout the day transacted private business at the Grand Hotel, where be is staying. He spent yesterday in bed suffering from the effects of a chill contracted during his recent visit to Motueka. This morning he will leave for Dargaville, where he will meet the Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates, member for Kaipara, and inspect the uncompleted railway in that district. He will hear a deputation urging that the work should be restarted. He expects to return to Auckland about mid-day on Thursday. On Friday morning the Minister will inspect the old post office site in Shorthand Street and subsequently will confer with the Finance Committee of the City Council. He will return to Wellington by the limited express on Friday evojfing. The Hon. JD. G. Sullivan, Minister of Railways, accompanied by Mr. (*. H. Maekley, general manager of railways, left Wellington yesterday, morning in the general manager's railrar and arrived in Auckland last night. The Minister will travel by railear this morning as far as Opua. It is his intention to inspect the Dargaville railway, and he will leave Maungaturoto to-morrow, arriving at Auckland in the evening. On Wednesday evening, Mr. Sullivan will, open the Auckland Winter Show. The Hon. H. T. Armstrong, Minister of Labour, left Hamilton for Well* ington 011 Saturday eve.ning.
