Mr. C. G. Macindoe, chairman of the Auckland Harbour Board, who has been visiting Sydney, was a passenger from Wellington by the limited express yesterday.
Captain T. J. Watt?, secretary and advisory superintendent qf the United Fire Brigades Association, was a passenger for the South by the afternoon express yesterday.
Dr. M.--H. Watt, Director-General of Health, paid a brief official visit to Kotorua, Hamilton and Auckland this week. He returned to Wellington by the, afternoon train yesterday.
The Hon. D. G. Sullivan, Minister of Railways, the Hon. W. Lee Martin, Minister of Agriculture, and Mr. G. H. Mackley, general manager of railways, left Auckland by the limited express last evening for Wellington.
Mr. D. S. A. Weir, who has relinquished the position.of inspector of stock at Blenheim, will leave .shortly for the Falkland Islands. He has been ap. pointed adviser in animal husbandry to the Administration at Falkland Islands.
.Mr. N. B. Spencer, who for nearly 10 years has been chairman of the board of directors of the Auckland Co-opera-tive Terminating Building Society, has resigned on account of ill-health. Mr. S. J. Harbutt has been elected chairman, and Mr. Spencer vice-chairman.
