CONTROL OF INDUSTRY
NATIONALISATION PLANS PARIS. June 2G After consideration by the Cabinet, M. Lebrun, President, initialled a bill, to nationalise the armament industry, for early submission to the Chamber of Deputies. The measure will bo progressive, at first including only enterprises which can be readily absorbed into existing arsenals or are capable of being taken over by Government engineers. Government control is aimed at restricting excess profits and will be applied to other armament industries, ft is expected that 12 works, including those of Schneider, Hotchkiss, Brandt and Renault, will bo wholly nationalised.
