FLIGHT TO THE EAST
NEW ZEALANDERS' PLANS 4 AIRMEN LEAVE SYDNEY
(Received June 28, 5.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, June 28
Mr. F. C. Chichester, of Wellington, with Mr. F. D. Herrick, a pastoralist of Hastings, as passenger, took off yesterday afternoon for Narrabri beach, where they will spend the week-end.
The two men intend flying by easy stages to the East over China to Manchukuo, and, if they can secure permits, across Russia.
