MOTOR-CYCLE SKIDS
RIDER'S THIGH FRACTURED ACCIDENT IN CROWD As the result of his motor-cycle skidding at the corner of Grafton Bridge and Symonds Street .at 1.30 yesterday afternoon, Mr. John McDonald, a steel worker, married, aged 38, residing at 41 Crummer Road, Grey Lynn, suffered a fractured thigh and a dislocated thumb. The accident occurred while the university students' procession was in tho vicinity, and the work of' tho St. John ambulance officers was at first mistaken as part of the students' revelry. "When the true nature of tho mishap was discovered, traffic officers held back the crowd, to allow the injured man to be removed to hospital. His condition late last night was not serious.
