CLASH OF SHOW DATES
WAIKATO AND MANAWATU COMPLAINTS BY EXHIBITORS [by TELEGRAPH —OWN coit respondent] PALMKRSi'ON XORTH, Thursday The clashing of show dates caused considerable discussion at a meeting of the Western and Eastern District Councils of tho Koyal Agricultural Society. It was stated that complaints had been voiced about the overlapping of the Manawatu and Waikato fixtures, preventing exhibitors from participating at both centres. Mr. H. E. Kissling, secretary of the Manawatu and West Coast Agricultural and Uastoral Association, said the Manawatu show was scheduled for November 4, 5 and C, and the Waikato show for November 0 and 7. Under the system of show circuits in this area, it was unavoidable that tho Manawatu dates were changed slightly. They were, however, not being deliberately altered, as had been suggested. It would be reasonable for the Waikato association to alter its dates by one week. Mr. Kissling said ho had received correspondence from tho secretary of the Northern District Council stating that the matter had been referred back to the Waikato association in an effort to avoid the clash. «
