COMMODITY MARKETS
GOVERNMENT REGULATION NEW ACT IN AMERICA WASHINGTON, June 17 President Roosevelt has signed the Commodity Exchange Act, which is dosigned to extend Government regulation to tho commodity markets, particularly to grains, as now enforced on securities exchange. A commission will bo appointed to administer tho Act, which provides for the fixing of trading limitations to curb excessive speculation. Various sorts of fictitious transactions commonly employed to manipulate market prices are prohibited.
All brokers and commission merchants who deal in commodity futures must register with the Commission and supply periodical reports of their vities.
