WATER MAIN BURSTS
REMARKABLE SCENES LONDON STREETS FLOODED DISLOCATION OF TRAFFIC (Received June 18, 6.5 p.m.) British "Wirelesß RUGBY, June 17 Remarkable scenes followed the bursting of a water' main in the centre of London to-day. The neighbouring streets were soon covered by several feet of swirling water which swept into shops, flooded cellars and brought traffic to a standstill. The tramway tunnel from Kingsway to tho Embankment was flooded and a dislocation of the tramway service resulted over a considerable area.
