PROBLEM CLUB

The monthly meeting of the Problem Club was held in the clubroonis on Wednesday. There was a large attendance of members. The matter of pensions for epileptics was discussed and it was decided to forward a remit to the Minister of Health regarding the subject.

The president, Mrs. V. M. von Sturmer, tendered her resignation, which was accepted with regret. Mrs. Carter, .Airs. Coughlan and Mrs. Crump spoko in appreciation of Mrs. von Stunner's keen interest and organising for the past five years. Mrs. E. S. Crump was unanimously elected to iill the vacancy. Mrs. von Sturmer was elected chief executive officer and Mrs. Allan Jones hon. secretary.

Miss Vera Ziman gave an interesting address on Palestine. Songs rendered bv Mrs. Preston Thomas, and pianoforte solos by Miss Mandena, were appreciated by the members. Mrs. Whitaker, convener of the welfare circle, thanked the members for their many gifts for St. Helens Home, and gave a brief outline of the work the welfare circle has in hand. A dainty afternoon tea was served by the convener, Mrs. Douglas Young, and her committee.
