LABOURER FINED
RESISTED CONSTABLE Charges of being drunk and resisting Constable G. W. Moore in the execution of his duty wero preferred against Peter Cunningham, labourer, aged 36, in the Police Court, before Mr. W. It, McKean, S.M., yesterday. Sub-Inspector Fox said Constable Moore was on duty in Queen Street at 6.25 p.m. on Wednesday, when he wan called to a city tearoom. Accused was there in the office in a drunken state, and was annoying tho waitresses. The constable had to use considerable force to ejoct him and he continued to resist arrest and caught hold of tables and doorways as ho wont out. He made no attempt to assault tho constable in any way. Accused had four previous convictions, hut none for drunkenness or similar offences. Accused was fined £2 for resisting th«> constable, and 5s for drunkenness.
