TIMBER FOR AUSTRALIA
SOUTHLAND BEECH TRADE
DEMAND FOR MOTOR BODIES [BY TELEGRAPH —FRESS ASSOCIATION] INVEHCARGILL. Thursday The total amount of timber to be exported to Adelaide by the Kiwitea, due to leave Bluff to-morrow, is announced as 257,000 ft. Nearly all this timber will bo used in the construction of motor bodies. A man with long experience of the beech trade in Southland said that the mills were working at capacity output and could not fulfil all tho orders they had received. There had been a steady growth in tho trade for Southland beech, and conditions now were better than ever.
