AUSTRIA ELIMINATED YUGOSLAVIA TjO MEET GERMANY VIENNA, June 15 In the second European zone semifinal in the Davis Cup contest, Austria was eliminated by Yugoslavia. Von Metaxa (Austria) was defeated to-day by Pallada (Yugoslavia), B—6,8 —6, 6—3, 2 —6, 3 —6, 6—4, and in the remaining singles match, Kukeljevic (Yugoslavia) beat Bawarowski (Austria) 5 —7, 6—4, I—6, 6 —2, 6 —3. Yugoslavia thus qualifies to meet Germany in the European zone final, after which the winner will play Australia at Wimbledon on July 18, 20 and 21.
