AUSTRALIAN LOAN
SUCCESS IN LONDON CONVERSION OPERATION THE CASH APPLICANTS (Received June 17. 12.5 a.m.) LONDON. June 16 The London representative of the Australian Associated Press says he understands that the success of the Australian conversion loan can be gauged from the fact that the cash applicants received only 68 per cent of their requirements. The loan referred to is one of £16,551,403 at 2J per cent at £99 maturing 1941-43, for the conversion of the following issues: New South Wales, £10,954,600 at 4i per cent; South Australia. £2,368,141 at" 5 per cent; Western Australia, £2,631,165 at 4$ per cent; and Western Australia, £097,497 at 3 per cent. The loan was opened and closed for cash applications on June 9.
