PALESTINE RAILWAYS
ATTACK ON A SETTLEMENT REPULSED BY TROOPS JERUSALEM, June 11 Owing to a continuance of disorders, including derailments, tanks are still on patrol in areas adjacent to the railways. An airman illuminated the surroundings by means of rockets while troops used machine-guns and repulsed Arabs who were attacking settlements on the plain of Jezreel.
MEDIATION BY POPE CATHOLIC ARABS' APPEAL JERUSALEM, Juno ?.l Roman Catholic Arabs have appealed to the Pope for mediation in their dispute with tho Jews in Palestine. Telegraph and telephone wires are cut in all directions. Tho damage is estimated at £IO,OOO.
