SWISS DEFENCES
EXPENDITURE APPROVED EXTENSIVE PROGRAMME (Received Juno J2, 5.5 p.m.) BERNE, June 11 The Swiss Council states that it has approved a credit of £15.000,000 to strengthen the country's defences. Half the approved sum is to bo devoted to anti-aircraft defence for tho principal cities, and tho remainder to tho provision of fortifications, armaments and aeroplanes.
