STATE ACQUISITION URGED [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON*, Friday At a meeting of representatives of local authorities to-day, called by the New Zealand Forestry League, it was decided to urge on the Minister of Lands and Commissioner , of State l'orests, the Hon. F. Langstone, the urgent necessity of having an inventory taken of all watersheds privately held in New Zealand with a view to influencing the Government to acquire them.
