THE LONGEST WORD
Teacher was giving the class a spelling lesson, and had written the word " Constantinople " on tho blackboard. " Now that is rather a long word," she said. " Will somebody please give me a longer one?" " Elastic" called out Jimmy. " Oh, but that is not nearly long enough," said teacher. " No, but you can stretch it!" cried the bright boy.
